Car Safety is something that most pet owners don't think about!
There are a few options when it comes to keeping them safe while traveling in your vehicle. A seatbelt is one good option. You can buy one that either clicks into the regular seat belt clip or connects with an anchor just as a child's car seat would. The dog should be harnessed in, rather than using just their collar.
Another option would be to kennel them if your car is big enough to allow this. These options allow the dog to be in a safe space and not able to roam all over the car, distract the driver, or even jump out of the window while driving!
It is also good to have a routine of getting in and out of the car! This is a big one, you don't want to have them just darting out of the vehicle into traffic!
