This is just a rough draft. You should adjust it to what works for you and your home life! As long as puppies are going potty every 2-3 hours, you’re doing potty training correctly.
When they turn 4 months old, bump their potty times to every 4 hours and so on. If they’re consistently having accidents before your time to go outside, then adjust the potty times to match their urges. At this age, it’s not so much about having them hold their bowel movements as it is showing them that the place to potty is outside.
Example of a potty schedule for a puppy:
6:00 am - Wake up & go potty
6:30 am - Breakfast and water in the kennel
6:45 am - Go potty
7:15/7:30 am - Being supervised: block them off into a small area
Not being supervised: Kennel them
8:30/9:00 am - Go potty
9:30 am - Supervised: block them off into a small area
Unsupervised: Kennel them
11:00/11:30 am - Go potty
12:00 pm - Lunch and water in the kennel
12:15 pm - Go potty
12:45 pm - Kennel for naptime
